Biography: Michael H. Annison is president of The Westrend Group, a consulting company in Denver. He received his BA from Williams College (1965) and his MA degree from Harvard University (1969). Mr. Annison's work focuses on social, economic and political change and what emerging issues mean for Westrend clients in fields such as accounting, education, financial services, health care, law, manufacturing, real estate and telecommunications. In addition to his consulting practice, Mr. Annison gives over 50 presentations a year, conducts corporate retreats and publishes
The Westrend Letter to help the firm's clients identify and act on changes which will affect them.
Prior to forming The Westrend Group, Mr. Annison was vice president of the Naisbitt Group whose research was the basis for the original best selling book
Megatrends. His previous experience includes founding and development of an international shrimp company, work for the Governors of the Rocky Mountain States, as well as work for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the Washington Technical Institute, the Ford Foundation and the Cleveland Public Schools. Mr. Annison has been a visiting professor at the School for International Studies at the University of Denver.
